Michigan Basketball Viewing Party
Join the club at Majors on February 18 for free appetizers, raffles, and (most importantly) to help Tommy Amaker and the Wolverines beat MSU (again)! Tip-off is 3 p.m. CST.
If you haven't been participating in Club events, you've been missing out. We've been a very busy group and plan on continuing that trend. Check us out at Champps (downtown Minneapolis) on February 21, beginning at 6 p.m. for a casual networking/happy hour get-together. We hope you'll make a resolution to connect with the Club! The February event will be held in conjunction with the Business School club. We'll be watching the Illinois vs. Michigan basketball game at the same time.
Maybe you want to find Wolverines who live in the area or share the same career goals. Perhaps you want to help recruit future Michigan students or volunteer as an advocate for the University. No matter what sort of Michigan connection you're looking to make, we can help.

Treat a Student to Dinner for their Alternative Spring Break
As last year, a group of current Michigan students will be working on two projects in the metro area: One focusing on Domestic Violence at Tubman Family Alliance in Minneapolis, and one tutoring immigrant children at Como Elementary School in St. Paul.

Angie Morgan, '97, co-author of "Leading From the Front," will show you how to influence your career and inspire others at this Career Enhancement Series event. Morgan will discuss her successes and failures as a leader determined to succeed in one of our nation's most elite and demanding organizations, the Marines.

inCircle is an online directory and networking community that contains all University of Michigan alumni. It offers all the basic functions of an online directory (the ability to search for friends and colleagues) plus the ability to create your own personal network. It’s just like a Michigan version of Friendster or Facebook!
The club has established an inCircle group (UMCTC) that we hope to start using for blogs, photo albums, etc. Look for us after you create your inCirlce account.
inCircle just celebrated its 1st birthday! They're celebrating by giving us the presents. Every week they'll give away a $100 Visa gift card to a randomly selected alum who has logged in to inCircle and updated his or her profile.
Enrollment is now open for the ASR program and will continue until June 9. We need alumni to 'adopt' schools in the non-metro areas of states, so this is a great way to engage alumni who may live on the outskirts of our core cities. Visit the ASR Web site to review the list of schools available to be adopted in Minnesota.
