Invitation to the 2008 Brass Band Festival - June 14, 2008

Again this year, the Club is looking forward to gathering in Danville, Kentucky, at the home of Ken and Lynn Copp (422 Meadow Lane), for a potluck and the Saturday evening concert of the Great American Brass Band Festival. If you've never attended the Festival, it's truly an event not to be missed!

There are festival activities all day. The UM Club potluck will be served at 5:30 pm but Ken and Lynn will welcome you as early at 4:00. They will provide lasagna and beer, wine and sodas. Please bring a dish to share. Should you want to leave food at their home while you're checking out the festival activities earlier in the day, they will leave coolers on their patio to keep your items cold or hot. They promise to check on the coolers during the day and move food inside.

After we eat, we'll go to the main stage so bring a lawn chair (and a sweater). The Copps house is about a mile from the stage so we'll drive.

Please let Ken and Lynn know you plan to attend: Their phone is 859.236.3080 and their email is mailto:gfbkwc7@roadrunner.com..
